MacAcademy

Mac Academy was begun over 25 years ago by Craig Holman, a college All-American at McPherson College.

The purpose of the academy is three fold:

  1. To demonstrate good practice habits, techniques and intensity (i.e. what practice looks like for good players)

  2. To provide high level, individualized instruction.

  3. To expose kids to high level tennis players, in hopes that it will engender a greater appreciation for what good tennis really looks like.

Over the years, Coach Holman has used his extensive contacts to bring in top level coaches and teaching professionals from in and around Kansas to run the Mac Academy clinics. Coaches from Wichita State University, Kansas State University, and Oklahoma State University, and teaching professionals from Wichita Racquet Club, Genesis Health Club – Wichita, Genesis Health Club – Salina, Crestview Country Club – Wichita, Prairie Dunes Country Club – Hutchinson, and Great Bend Racquet Club. A number of the clinicians have coached professional tennis players, and have themselves held national and ATP rankings/points.

MacAcademy is an invitation only camp for advanced players 6th-12th grades which is coordinated by Craig Holman and conducted at Mac College. You will be notified if selected in late July.
