2024 Mac Advantage Tennis Camp
Start your summer tennis training by enrolling in the Mac Advantage Tennis Camp directed by Marty Ward. Please check out his extensive biography to the right! Marty is planning a camp experience second to none and all of our members would benefit from the great instruction he has planned. Les Stafford, former head coach at Wichita State and Emporia State, Gabe Johnson, current head coach at Bethel College, Keiran President, head coach at McPherson College, and Heather Farris, will be the lead instructors for this year’s camp. This is an amazing opportunity for any age or level of tennis player, and we are extremely proud of the high quality camp Marty has put together. The camp is for youth ages 4-18 and divided into age groups (peewee, red ball, orange ball, green/middle school, and high school). Pee Wee is morning only and HS is afternoon only. Red and Orange ball are two sessions, morning and afternoon. Check the schedule below. Morning sessions tend to focus on stroke development with afternoon sessions focusing more on games and match play.
New for 2024 - Above and Beyond Video Academy
Are you ready to take a deep dive into one area and receive more personalized instruction? Players in grades 9-12 next year are eligible for this add on portion of camp. McPherson College head coach, Keiran President, will lead the Above and Beyond Video Academy and will be assisted by 4 college players. This camp is meant for determined players who are striving for or already play HS level but are looking to take it a step further!

Camp traditionally ends on Friday afternoon and culminates with a Camp Bar-B-Que on Friday evening at 5:30 at McPherson High School.

For 14 years, Marty was the head coach for Bethel College in Newton. He ran a camp at Bethel for youth each summer during his time at Bethel and comes with a vast understanding of tennis and running successful tennis camps. He is a USTA Professional 1. We couldn't be more thrilled to have Marty back as our director this summer. He and his wife Carol live in Moundridge now and are thrilled to be part of the learning for our Mac Advantage kids.
